Morley’s Final Catalogue: The sole Suffolk example was captured at Tuddenham during1910 (Nurse, Ent. 1911, 221

Recent Status: Common in the Sandlings and Breckland.

Life Style: A single brooded species flying by day and comes to light from May to July. The larvae feed from a silken tube between leaves of Pinus species. The larvae hibernate and pupate in a cocoon on the ground.

Identification: This dark Epinotia species typically has a well defined whitish dorsal patch and a reddish brown apical area. The extent of the reddish brown varies. More Info
